For a touch more space, we’d recommend reserving one of the circular tables at the back of the restaurant by the window.

A family-owned culinary landmark for four generations, Russ & Daughters is iconic for its artisan bagels, delicate smoked salmon, and caviar. Should you like to try a little bit of everything, we’d recommend choosing one of three indulgent platters named after each of the original Russ daughters. Integral to its heritage, the once 'J.R. Russ Cut Rate Appetizers' changed names in the 1930s to honour the dedication of the founder’s daughters — Anne, Hattie, and Ida — who joined the store at a young age, becoming the first known American business with ‘& Daughters’ in its title.
