The Capri is a natural raffia tote bag perfect for summer days. Handcrafted in Madagascar by seasoned female artisans, each basket is accented by elegant leather detailing from DeMellier’s gold-rated Italian tannery. The final creation is all hand-assembled with care. The product of an inspiring local social enterprise, each one is subtly unique and uniquely beautiful, reflecting the generations of ancestral tradition and technique that goes into making each and every one.

These raffia baskets are handwoven in Madagascar by seasoned female artisans, aided by an inspiring local social enterprise. The 100% natural raffia leaves used for the baskets are locally sourced, harvested, dried in the sun, and dyed with a high quality, chemical-free dye.

We use real leather of the highest quality, sustainably sourced and complying with the highest EU regulations and standards. Our suppliers are certified by the European Leather Working Group, guaranteeing the highest standards of sustainability and sourcing.

All our handbags and leather goods are handcrafted with integrity by skilled artisans, using local techniques and traditions. Our Capri bags are hand-assembled at our trusted family-run factories in Europe. We only work with partners who we know well and trust, who offer fair working conditions and a safe working environment for their workers.

Our packaging is made of partially recycled paper sourced from FSC accredited suppliers and natural cotton, thus fully recyclable.
