Since our inception, integrity and responsibility have defined DeMellier. Each design is crafted by hand with a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices – a standard that continues to shape everything we do. This Earth Day, we reflect on the principles that guide us, while recognising that our journey is ongoing.

LOWER-IMPACT MATERIALS  

We prioritise materials with a lower impact – using 100% plastic-free raffia and organic canvas produced with less water and without harmful chemicals. Our leathers are 100% by-products of the food industry, sourced from Gold and Silver-rated LWG-certified tanneries. We carefully avoid areas at risk of deforestation to help protect natural ecosystems.

MINIMISING WASTE

We operate a zero-waste policy and work exclusively with factories that share our commitment to reducing environmental impact. In 2025, we repurposed over 169,000 square metres of leather that would have otherwise gone to waste, with any surplus materials reused or donated to local apprentice schools.

CRAFTED TO LAST

Guided by enduring design, we create timeless pieces handcrafted to be worn, repaired and cared for over time. Produced in limited quantities, each piece is made with longevity in mind, supported by our lifetime repairs service.
