Emelie Lindmark reimagines The Midi New York in an exclusive Mocha Suede Lizard-Effect.

The Midi New York was inspired by our love for this amazing city, its energy, architecture and people. Its modern yet timeless silhouette and subtle luxury finish makes it the perfect day bag. The interior can be safely closed off with a central internal magnet. The comfortable tubular handles sit nicely in the crook of your elbow or can be held by hand. The base is constructed with triangular folds on each side and enhanced with metal feet. This bag is the perfect size to carry all essentials. Please note that this bag does not fit a 13 inch laptop. 

Interior: Spacious main compartment closed with central magnet and side snap buttons, internal zip pocket and slip pocket, internal Emelie Lindmark signature gold foil stamp.

Exterior: Rolled top handle (to be held by hand or on the crook of the arm), detachable adjustable crossbody strap, bespoke D-rings, DeMellier Sam Browns, Gold plated DeMellier lock, foil embossed DeMellier logo, base feet.

I’ve admired DeMellier for years, from its craftsmanship to its values, so this collaboration felt like a natural step.

I chose The Midi New York as it’s one of its most timeless designs. It’s effortlessly chic and elegant, with a spacious interior that has become essential since becoming a mum. It strikes the perfect balance between practicality and beauty.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Minimal, timeless, and Scandinavian. I’m drawn to clean lines and simplicity. I love pieces that feel both classic and modern.

I love pairing it with a white T-shirt, classic blue jeans, and a blazer, but it’s just as versatile with a simple black dress. It’s one of those rare pieces that elevates any outfit, whatever the occasion.

IN WHAT WAY HAS YOUR BACKGROUND INFLUENCED YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Being Swedish has shaped a lot of how I see aesthetics. I naturally lean toward a minimal Scandinavian style, in both fashion and interiors. Simplicity, for me, brings a sense of calm and clarity.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN BARCELONA?
The Collserola area. I love hiking there. It’s where the mountains meet the city and, from the top, you can see the whole skyline. It’s a gorgeous reminder of why I chose to make Barcelona my home.


WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU’VE LEARNT THAT YOU HOPE TO PASS ALONG TO YOUR DAUGHTER?
To stay true to her own path and not let others define her journey. There is real strength in listening to your inner voice.

It means growing into the kind of woman I once admired: someone who walks her own path, confidently and without needing permission.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Trust your instincts and follow your dreams with courage and kindness.

My daughter inspires me endlessly. She reminds me every single day of the power of presence and how meaningful the little moments truly are.
