Exterior: Woven natural raffia and smooth, Italian fine grain cowhide leather, certified gold-rated by the Leather Working Group. Brushed gold-plated hardware.

We use 100% natural raffia made from the leaves of raffia palm, primarily found in tropical Africa such as Madagascar. The raffia palm is harvested, dried and split to be made into strong, flexible fibres that are then dyed ahead of weaving. Our raffia has been woven, knit and crocheted by skilled artisans to create a bespoke weave with a thick yarn and soft handfeel. As the raffia is a natural material, some colour variations can be seen.

Our Madagascan Raffia is handcrafted by artisans with over 20 years worth of expertise. Employing over 2,000 artisans, 98% of which are women, our supplier aims to empower women in local villages – providing them with necessary skills to enable them to be independent and self-supporting. In addition, they are committed to a reforestation project in order to offset the carbon footprint of all employees and production processes.

We use real leather of the highest quality, sourced exclusively from tanneries in Italy and complying with the highest EU regulations and standards. Our suppliers are certified by the European Leather Working Group, guaranteeing our exacting standards of sustainability and responsible sourcing.

We only work with partners who we know well and trust, who offer fair working conditions and a safe working environment for their workers.

Our packaging is made of partially recycled paper sourced from FSC accredited suppliers and natural cotton, thus fully recyclable
